Architect, painter, performance, and installation artist
Born 1957 in Tartu
Graduated from the 1st High School (currently H. Treffner Upper Secondary School) in Tartu in 1975. Obtained a degree in architecture from the Estonian Art Institute (currently Estonian Academy of Arts) in 1980.
From 1980 to 1993 worked in the „Estonian Industry Project“ and from 1994 in the architecture office „F&P“. From 1997 to 2013 he was a partner at „Arhitektid Muru & Pere“. Since 2013 he has managed the eponymous „Peeter Pere Arhitektid“ office. He is one of the members of the „Rühm T“ artist group that was active from 1986 to 1996.
His artworks include expressive paintings with an emphatically subjective approach to the world (“Tsoon nr…”, 1988, “Wer ist da?”, 1990), installations that originate from conceptualism (“Weeping Song”, 1993, “Positsioonid MZ 108-04”, 1999), and several performances (“Ovaal”, 1990 “& Viva!”, 1991 with U. Muruga, “Põder”, 1991). In 1999 he represented Estonia at the Venice Art Biennale and received the prestigious Kristjan Raua Prize.
Since 2000 he as focused on architecture. He has often represented Estonia at the Mies van der Rohe Prize for contemporary architecture.

2015 – annual prize of the Estonian Association of Architects (Residential Complex in South Estonia)
2019 – Union of Estonian Architects, “Eramu” (Private house) I prize with Eva Kedalauk
2020 – Union of Estonian Architects, “Vaike” (Small) prize laureate with Eva Kedalauk
2022- Union of Estonian Architects, “Vaike” (Small) prize nominee with Eva Kedalauk
